The people in my Life Group are amazing. I asked for help to tackle boredom while I am unable to go to the church and the suggestions have flooded in.

One resource suggested to me is the Desiring God website, the home of John Piper (the theologian not the super-fantastic artist) so I think I will start there.

Have also ordered a historical novel set in the American Civil War that has, it says, ‘strong moral messages.’ Will wait and see how that pans out! I did read a historical novel called Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, based on the book of Hosea. It was pretty gruesome (it’s about a child who is sold into prostitution)  and very powerful. I was drawn into it despite my initial reluctance. I tried another of hers, about marriage and reconciliation, but that did not grab me in the same way.
