A Parcel of Love

The Milk of Human Kindness

One of the Life Groupers, whom I have known only a relatively short time, popped round to my house today with a parcel of what I can only describe as ‘love’ for me! Two brand new books for me, a huge box of M & S chocs, bookmarks, lovely bath bombs and a card. I was knocked out. How kind these people are. Kindness has got to be the greatest virtue of all. Did you know that when looking for a life partner/spouse most people are actually seeking someone who is “kind.” Money, looks, talent, hotness… all fade into the shadows when kindness makes an appearance.

One of the books my friend included in the cache is Praying God’s Word by Beth Moore. Had a quick perusal; it looks very useful.

My STBX said that church seems to be very positive for me. It is. But I hope I give something back too. A male friend there text me to say I do (some weeks ago). Not sure how but I’ll take the assurance as genuine!

BTW, the Susan Hill book – The Vows of Silence –  proved to be too grim for words. I did finish it but I  feel wary of passing it on to a friend as it is such a downer.
